Record MDX Sales Up 24.8 Percent Compared to 2001
Torrance, Calif. 11/01/2002 -- October sales of Acura vehicles totaled 12,104, up 108 units over last month, but falling short of 2001's record breaking October numbers, Acura announced today.
Demand for the MDX luxury SUV remained strong with record sales of 4,486 up 24.8 percent compared to 2001. Year-to-date MDX sales grew to 43,343 up 29.3 percent versus 2001. The 2003 MDX, which features a new, more powerful 260 horsepower engine and numerous new features, went on sale October 1.
Sales of the hot-selling RSX sports coupe were hampered by limited availability due to the west coast port closings.
