A short article at auto.com goes into the history of Honda America. Also of note from the article: "There's also room below the Civic for a smaller car at some point, but that's not our highest priority. The last and largest market we're not in is (pickup) trucks, but not having a pickup hasn't hurt because we're selling all the vehicles we build now anyway. If we did a pickup, we'd need a different factory to build a chassis/cab platform. If and when we'd do one, we'd do it ourself, not a joint venture," he said."
