Contrary to what some posters have said about him here (see the comments to this news item), John Mendel would like you to know that he is not a "bean" from Ford. In fact, he's a big time car guy and that could mean good things for Honda enthusiasts for years to come. We talk to him a bit about the Civic Si Concept, his background, and of course we try to pry some information from him regarding the future, including whether we'll see the Si badge applied to other Honda models or if we'll ever see another Type R on our turf.
