We've recently heard that the next generation CR-V, which is due in MY07, will have some portion of its production moved to Ohio, possibly in the East Liberty Plant. Acura's upcoming RDX small SUV will also be built in Ohio, perhaps in Marysville.
It is said that the reasoning behind this move is driven by several factors: 1) Cost - moving production to the US (the CR-V's largest market) provides a hedge against the Euro's current strength and expected growth 2) Balancing production loads 3) Making room for FR-V production in the UK.
