Overview

This BMI Special Edition DVD VTEC CLUB dedicates entirely on stock and modified Honda's. The host for the VTEC CLUB is no other than Keiichi "Drift King" Tsuchiya. Tsuchiya and friends start by checking out Honda's flagship sports car the NSX Type R and its tuned versions. We also invite Spoon president Tatsuru Ichishima as a guest advisor in a Q & A chapter where viewers go to the pros for tuning tips. No BMI DVD would be complete without its trademark crazy battles between our top J-racers. This time they take the tuned Hondas against each other pushing the VTEC to its limits! The finale of the DVD is Keiichi Tsuchiya's Tsukuba time attack challenge in the JGTC ARTA NSX. The DVD features a bonus chapter with the first ever DVD catalogue of S2000 JDM exhaust products from Japan's top tuners.

Chapter 01. Drift King's NSX-R vs Stock NSX-R

Comparison of Tsuchiya's K-Office modified NSX-R against a PR car from Honda. The modification on the K-Office NSX-R by Tsuchiya is done on the suspension system. The battle will determine if Tsuchiya (K-Office) will make the custom suspension set available to consumers.

Chapter 02. Can a Tuned 3.0 Liter NSX Defeat the NSX-R?

Tsuchiya and Naoki Hattori test drive various restored & tuned NSX cars to see if tuning a stock NSX can improve the car's performance to even challenge the NSX-R.

Chapter 03. VTEC Club Q&A

Tsuchiya, Hattori and Spoon Prez Tatsuru Ichishima answer various questions sent in from viewers.
Ichishima explains why recent chassis from Honda are top quality by showing the actual body shell of the FIT.
The cast go on track to test 2 tuned Fits at Ebisu Circuit. Also we take a look at Spoon's shop, TYPE ONE.

Chapter 04 K20A 2.0 Liter VTEC Sibling Track Battle

Track battle comparison between Honda's 3 brother cars equipped with the K20A engine, the EP3 Civic Type-R, DC5 Integra Type-R and the CL7 Accord Euro-R. The second battle takes place between tuned models. The SPIRITS DC5, SPIRITS CL7 and the PHASE CL7.

Tuned ECUs now available for the DC5? Hattori checks out the computer tuned DC5 Integra by K-ONE. We also got word that JUN AUTO WORKS is starting to tune the DC5 Integra, targeting to clock a lap time of less than a minute at Tsukuba!

Chapter 06. ARTA NSX Tsukuba Special Time Attack

Tsuchiya sets out to clock the lap record at Tsukuba with his JGTC 2002 GT500 NSX. The 2002 model is said to be the last stock-based racing car in JGTC before deregulation in 2003 that allowed far more freedom in modificaiton. This chapter includes technical overview of the car and an interview with Mugen Dome Project Manager, Shin Nagaosa.
