Thanks to 'lesgardiens' for pointing us to this mini-sketch of the "MDX Jr" (most likely RDX in US) on Mag-X.com. Click here to visit Mag-X.com and see the sketch.
As you can see in the link, it's a small sketch, and the accompanying text is all in Japanese (a quick machine translation reveals no new information). It appears that this sketch is based upon their own speculation, but Mag-X has been pretty close in a number of cases in the past.
The RDX is expected to appear in the US market sometime in 2006 or 2007 and will most likely be based upon the next generation CR-V. The RD-X concept that was paraded around the show circuit in 2002 featured a 2.4L I-4 with IMA and a 6-speed manual transmission, said to deliver around 250hp. The general concensus in the industry is that the production RDX will follow this lead.
Compare the Mag-X.com sketch to the one shown last summer in MotorTrend - the new Mag-X sketch projects a more realistic rendering of an actual production vehicle vs. Motor Trend's sketch, which appears slightly more conceptual.
