Civic Range Revised for Thailand (and soon rest of Asia)

Honda Thailand launched the new revised Civic sedan line-up late last month on January 26th 2004. The revision brought the exterior design back in line with the JDM version. More interestingly however is the evolution of the 2.0l DOHC iVTEC variant which was introduced during the short-lived revision last year. The new 2.0 iVTEC Civic (sedan) now features black interior and various other sporty items including 'sporty headrests and sporty steering'. The 155ps K20A is a version of the one used on the 2.0l Accord, tuned for more high-end. It is different from the K20As on the CR-V and Stream by having a single runner intake manifold. The car comes with EPS, front and rear disc brakes and anti-roll bars and 195 width 15inch wheels and the new 5speed automatic gearbox with GLC.
Also in the line-up are the 1.7l SOHC versions, now available both with and without VTEC.
Organisation wise, Honda's Asian operations is headquartered in Thailand so we can be expecting to see this revision filter down to the rest of Asia over the rest of this year.
