8:10 AM-- We're back in Cobo Hall. It seems we lucked out a bit with the weather - it appears only 3-4" of snow fell, so mercifully traffic wasn't too bad coming into town from Dearborn. Today will be abbreviated for us, so we're going to try to concentrate on getting as many photos and video clips as possible. We have a lot more photos (and some video) to post from yesterday and depending upon how the day goes we may get some of those uploaded before leaving for our flights.
8:50AM-- I'm updating you directly from the Acura booth. Takeo Fukui has just finished his presentation to the press. Some key announcements regarding the Accord were made. First, variable cylinder management will debut in the Accord this fall. Secondly, Fukui announced the availability of the Accord Hybrid, which will feature Honda's first V6 application of its IMA technology. Fukui also indicated that the HSC will in fact serve as the basis for the upcoming NSX replacement, "in a few years". Here is the press release for the Hybrid Accord.

7:50 AM, January 6-- I'm back in Atlanta now. By leaving early, we unfortunately missed out on several launches that are happening today. We also were unable to get any photos of the new Scion coupe since it was introduced offsite. Apparently it spent the rest of the day (Tuesday) out of sight and was not going to be moved to its regular spot in the Toyota booth until today. We will be posting many photos from the show in an article to be released later. Pages will be released in several phases.
