Brake pad replacement cost at Honda dealer    (Score: 1, Normal) 10-21-2010 18:37

I took my car in for an oil change at the Honda dealer, and found out my rear brakes were at 2mm and needed replacement. I haven't had brakes changed in a long time, so I'm not sure if these charges are typical or not. Also needed a brake fluid flush. It took less than an hour for the technician to replace pads and flush. $246 total. Are these typical charges for this kind of work? Why was I charged two technician charges, if the same mechanic did both jobs in under an hour time?

Was I ripped off at the Honda dealer or are these typical charges for these jobs?

Technician charge: $82
Rear pads: $72

Technician charge: $81
Flush: $11

Total: $246
