'07 TL tarnished grill (Score: 1, Normal)

I am an original owner of an '07 TL and in less than 14 months the grill on the front of the car started becoming tarnished. I called Acrua and complained about it, and they blamed the mag-chloride that is put down on the roads here in Colorado when it snows. I claim BS that they designed and built a car with such poor protection for the elements that are commonly used. It's not like the mag-chloride just popped up on the scene here - it's been used for many years.

I just don't understand how Acura can treat their owners this way. I paid for a quality (luxury) vehicle and for them to say "sorry - it's not our fault" when the car was just slightly a year old just blows my mind.

Has anyone found a way to fix this beyond just replacing the grill? The car still looks great until you get to the grill, which looks like crap. And it's not just mine. I've checked on other TL's that I've seen in the region, and they all suffer the same fate.

At the dealership we use 3M Adhesive Remover, and it works like a champ. Not sure if this is available in Auto stores or not though.
