Hey
i have a 2005 acura 3.2TL. Does the onboard computer record the mileage. I will be replacing the speedometer, will the actual mileage be displayed because the new speedometer says 0 basicly will it covert to its original mileage or the mileage is only recording in the cluster. Someone told me the late model cars now record in the ecu. Thanx for the help

Yes the mileage is only recorded in the Cluster, not the ECU,, so in theory you could buy a 04-08 TL, buy a used cluster, put the used cluster in and drive 100,000 miles,, then when you go to sell the car you could put the old one back in and wallah your car still has the same miles you had when you first removed it,, making the car hold its value,, but this is Illegal and is not recomended, but as to how anyone could find out is another story!! use at your own risk!! but when you get your car serviced they report the mileage to the state,, so in theory,, you would need to put the original back in before every tuneup and tell them you dont drive it that much!! use at you own risk!!
