Author Thread       JBone What is "Break In" Oil?    (Score: 1, Normal) 10-27-2007 17:12 Just a quick question for those folks who know something about cars! What is this "Break In" oil which 07 CRV engines start out with? How is it different than oil which will be put in on your 1st oil change? I am wondering because I had a hard time following the Maintaince Minder, and changed my "Break In" oil when my car reached 3,300 miles. I'm assuming that this is enough time for my engine to break in...Am I wrong? Now I am going to follow the MM, but I still feel that there really is nothing harmful (besides the cost!) that can be done from changing the oil more regurally than what is recommended.... What do you guys think?
