First reaction... keep the CL.
The first gen 3.0CL AT4 was a dog. The transmission really sapped the engine's power and the powertrain just never felt very powerful nor torquey. The suspension was a nightmare... it felt sporty up to the 9/10ths but after that it'd let go, with the undercarriage moving one way and the body seemingly floating the other.
I would hope the suspension dropped helped, eh?
It was not a car that I enjoyed driving in the two years we had it.
Second reaction.... oh oh...
The Integra AT is not a great car either. The I4 really begs for the MT5 because it simply has not a lot of torque.
In the best of all worlds, your mom would find you a nice 2000 Integra LS with the MT5 or maybe an 00 Accord Coupe EX with the I4/AT5.
Hmm... actually in the best of all worlds, in the low price end your mom would get you an 02 EP3 hatch, in the middle you'd get a GSR, and in the top end you'd get an 02 RSX-S.
Bottom line? After we got rid of our 97 3.0CL for a 99 TL I met a guy that also had a 97 3.0CL... He called it a "woman's car".
