Does anyone know if the euro Accord is Civic based or Accord based?

Since it's smaller than the US accord, I assume they could have gone either way...

Accord-based. What is the platform called? Global MidSize or something like that.

Yep. Global Midsize Platform. So it's the "World's Accord" from there to Japan.

Only N/A gets the big Accord. They separated the N/A Accord platform starting with the '98 model year.

They separated EURO - N/A - Japan platforms starting with the 98 model year. But it's still the same platform and all Accord versions had the same suspension setup until now.

The same platform can have several versions, some longer than the others. Look at the civic one: civic 3 / 5 doors, civic sedan, Stream, CR-V, Element, are all build around the same one, but they're also all different size vehicles.

I understand they are also using spacers to change the width of the track for the different models.

The article said it�s the first time this has been achieved successfully by any car company.

TSX is Euro/JDM Accord, which means it will share the platform with the American Accord. Same double wishbone front and watt-link double wishbone (5-link) rear suspension.
