http://www.philly.com/philly/business/breaking/20121114_Driver_s_Seat__Comparing_Acura__Infiniti_AWD_crossovers.html
Say you have 40 grand (more or less) to blow on a nice all-wheel-drive crossover. You don't need a lot of space and you want a name that's going to make the neighbors at least look up from their iPhones when you drive past on the cul-de-sac.
Acura and Infiniti may not be the competitors 1 thinks of immediately, but the 2 luxury brands from long-standing Japanese carmakers (Acura comes from Honda and Infiniti from Nissan) offer crossovers at about the same price point. The vehicles go in dramatically different directions from there.
This week, we'll get to know both crossovers from the inside, and next week get underneath and take them out on the road.

Probably one of the worst executed reviews I've seen in a while.

Kind of short on fact or rationale.
The EX37 is a nice vehicle. Infniti interiors have come a long way and it offers a nice powertrain.
That said, it is tiny inside. It's more like a 2+2. There's no way in hell I can fit in the back seat. It seems much more a styling statement - an oversized G37 coupe with luggage space - than a functional SUV.

The EX 37 is a chicks car, every time I see a guy driving one they just look uncomfortable. They are also priced way to high, that may explain why they don't sell, usually averaging slightly less than last generation RDX sales annually. I doubt there will be a second generation of the EX unless it increases drastically in size specifically interior volume.

The Road Test
In the end: Lovers of the tried-and-true who need a real back seat would find the Acura a more rewarding purchase, while people interested in pushing the envelope and not carrying passengers or cargo might find the EX37 a better choice. Me? I don't find enough delight in either to not save almost half my money and get a Mazda CX-5.
But if I had to have luxury from these makers, I'd go for the Acura TSX wagon or spring for the Infiniti JX35.

holy crap, I can't believe that EX37 weighs over 5000 lbs. My 4 x 4 Trail Edition 4runner isn't that heavy and it's body on frame.

You must have been looking at the gross vehicle weight, dude.
"Weights: gross vehicle weight (lbs): 4,860, published curb weight (lbs): 3,790 and payload allowance (lbs): 1,070"

I'm not sure to which they were referring, but this is what they wrote.
"the Infiniti tips the scales at a beefy 5,024 pounds, it's more lethargic than the comparatively lithe 3,852-pound Acura."

Obviously the author got his numbers wrong, by quoting the gross vehicle weight. As was previouly mentioned, a pretty crappy article.
He probably also does the gardening section.
