Was reading the PDF Owner's Manual a little closer, and noticed that the backup camera overrides the LaneWatch camera in Reverse (which I probably should have realized--I thought you could use that, and not miss a memory-linked mirror with the tilt-down like the Touring Pilots, Odys and Acuras have). D'oh!
Just curious--anybody with an EX-L or higher, does the "top-down" or "wide" backup camera view show any of the curb on the right side of the car in order to prevent "curb rash" on your new wheels? (Occasionally, I have to park on the street at a couple of my friends' houses, and have to get right up to the curb while parallel parking (and fold in my driver's mirror afterward) because of how narrow the streets are, and I've come too close for comfort once or twice; in that case, I have to tilt the right mirror down to see better. Minor inconvenience, but if I can use the tech on the new Accord without having to futz with a mirror, what the heck! Hopefully, parallel parking will be easy--watch the camera as you back up, switch to top-down to align with the curb, then double-check on LaneWatch as you move forward.)
Inquiring minds want to know! :-)

I haven't used the LaneWatch camera for anything like this, but I have used the backup camera to confirm my distance from the curb. It worked fine for me while in wide mode. I also used the backup camera to confirm my positioning between the lines in a parking lot space.
I'll have to try to remember to check the LaneWatch camera tonight when I drive over to my mom's place in Milwaukee. No curbs out in the burbs where I live... :)

I tried using the LaneWatch camera to avoid "curb rash" and it worked perfectly! Never occurred to me to try it… what a great idea!

Sorry for the double post… sometimes my iPad and the site software don't play together well. ;)

Gonna try it on mine when it arrives--Touring (had to have the ACC), broker ordered it, six to eight weeks! ;-) (Modern Steel FTW--your Crystal Black is best, as always, but I'd go insane trying to keep it pretty!)

Sounds sweet! Does Modern Steel replace Polished Metal?

Yes, it does. But does anyone know exactly how Modern Steel differs from Polished Metal?

I believe so. Kind of like the Carbon Bronze I have now, without the brown shade. It's a bit better at hiding dirt until it really gets nasty or salty!
Unfortunately, I'll probably get the car too late to do my autumn Zaino ritual--too cold to wax the car in my unheated garage. May just have the folks who will do my 3M VentureShield paint film do a light polishing, just to get through the winter.
