It looks nice, it has the right engine.. but isn't that a bit expensive?

Yeah ... basically $8K is the dealer's full retail. I think you could get it for low $7Ks to high $6Ks.
One thing interesting (if my research is right) is that '94 VTECs didn't get ABS.

Looks very nice. Does seem over priced, but finding a comparable one is going to be very hard.
Go check it out. If it has been carefully maintained and is all original, it might be worth that to you.
If you buy it, please don't mod it.

I've definitely become more circumspect in my negotiations over the years. I used to be the "after holdback bla bla bla here's your $200". Owning my own business, you realize how expensive and risky it is to own a successful retail endeavor. I wouldn't overpay but i won't beat them up with lowball offers either.

Still using your words foolishly I see...speaking for my people, I wouldn't buy this car - it's a piss poor compromise.

LOL! Oh geez.
It's a good car for those have no worries, no need to haul anything. A roommate had one years back. She (the girl) was cute and the car fits. I, on the other hand, would have no use for this car except to wait for my daughter to grow up and drive it.
Price seem a little high, too. You better wanted this car bad to pay for that kind of price these days.

Wow! Certainly haven't seen that in a while.
Whoever buys this car, I hope he/she keeps THAT factory radio!!! It might be worth some money to have everything stock.

Then it's perfect for you!
But seriously, the car is slightly overpriced. You can pick up EP3 Civic Sis for ~$6K for low mileage examples, so I wouldn't pay more than that for a even less loved car that's a decade older.

I agree it's a bit overpriced (hey, it's a dealer!) but surprised by how many say so in the thread.
Any Honda with 48K miles will almost always be north of $6K - no matter year or model. That's it a stick and a del Sol diminishes that a bit but here in the Pacific NW you don't see Hondas with low mileage going cheaper.
I've been thinking of a couple Honda scooters to round out my garage but a del Sol VTEC for high $6Ks? Cause for pause.

It looks like a pretty good example for a Del Sol, and if you are a fan of that particular Honda, you might want to jump on that one. Unmolested Civics are rare.

Yup, I'd buy it.

Takes a real man to drive a Sol. Way to make a case for yourself.
