Seeing that the 2013 Pilot and Odyssey LX receive the 8-inch i-MID screen just like the 2013 Accord, I think the CR-V's Civic screen is a little small. Using that area at the top for a navi/all-in-one screen and then having physical buttons below would be nice. Here is a rough photoshop of what I mean:

For overkill purposes:

Then again, the CR-V is not is the class of Honda's big cars (at least here in the US)...

I'm at the Honda dealership and sat in a 2012 CRV EXL with Navi. I have to say that the Navi setup is seemingly really cheap looking and feeling. I can tell that the Navi is essentially a better version of what I have in my 2008 Accord V6 Coupe with Navi, but the implementation feels cheap. I would prefer the 8 inch screen and have the i-Mid in the radio. So in essence, swap them and make the upper screen larger.

One thing to note is that the CRV is the last car in the Honda lineup to get technology. The first is the Accord (previously Prelude). So it will be 6 years until the CRV catches up.

Maybe they'll update it some during the MMC. I love the outside of the 2012 versus the previous gen 100 times over.

We've had the 2012 CR-V for awhile now, and I still prefer the exterior of the 2010, but easily prefer the interior of the 2012.

I could take or leave the i-Mid though (no navi version)...I don't really look at it very often when I am in there, and does anyone know if it has independent brightness? It is a distraction at night.

In the Civic you can turn off the iMid. Being that both are based on the small car (Civic) design they might work the same way...

On the steering wheel, cycle through the menu screens.. I think that on the screen after the clock it will go blank.
