Something tells me it will look rather bulky.
And what of the Crosstour? What will happen to it?

I think you will see a replacement, still called the Crosstour, maybe, but there is a CLEAR message in the 2013 Crosstour that you will see........Remember, it is based on the 2008 Accord, so the new one in 2 years will be based off of..................yes, the 2013, but because of how fast Honda can make changes now, I think you will see more of a wagon then a hatch as it is now.....The word is heard at Honda, CT is not a popular car, it's nice, but Honda customers want more......

Keep my fingers crossed. Honda, build the true wagon, with 6mt available, and you'll get my money. It's time to lead again.

Any guess if they'll move the Accord MMC up a year to keep them sort-of in-sync?

Back over 20 years ago, Honda developed a stationwagon Accord which was assembled in Ohio. At the time many Accords for Canada and the US were still being built in Japan.
Unfortunately this model was only available in the top trim and priced well above the sedans and so it was not a big seller.
These things seem to go in cycles. First the big "mini" vans, then SUVs followed by CUVs, and now, possibly, we have come full circle to the sedan-based wagon again.
As others have mentioned, the Euro brands never vacated this market and Subaru has built a business around AWD wagons.
An Accord-based wagon along the style of the TSX with an AWD option could be a real success with the love affair with heavy, fuel hungry vehicles seemingly in decline. Also build them for export, to help get to efficient sales volume levels.
Come on Honda, you can do it!!
