I have not seen the date of the 2013 Accord ride and drive event for the press and dealerships anywhere on this forum. Does anyone know when it is? It should be in the week or two, Afterwards, there should be a flurry of spyshots from the event.

Official pictures are supposed to be released tomorrow. I'm assuming through Honda online. But I'm not familiar with this release style, so who knows what will happen. There isn't any news on press and first drive events yet, but I'm hoping some of that will be announced tomorrow with the pictures.

Maybe its 9/5/12...I read somewhere on here that the first set of pics will debut tomorrow (8/8/12) and that the specs, hp figures, feature content, etc will debut on 9/5/12.
I read on Hondapreview.com that the National Dealer Meeting will be "this week"

Yeah, I was in for an oil change this weekend for the CR-V and my salesman told me the GM meeting is this week so they will see it.
He also gave me the keys for a 12 Si while I waited and told me to drive it, and that I would "fall in love with it" in the hour I had it. My hybrid is bad, but it wasn't remotely bad enough for that to happen. I drove the car 2 miles to a Best Buy and wandered for an hour and drove it back.

OK. Since I have both the HCH and the Si.
Did you bother to "drive" the Si?
Did you allow your preconceived prejudices to overrule the fact that you had the keys to the Si for an hour?
Jeez man... sometimes you have to let reality intrude into your preconceived worldview. Your biases prevented you from learning something new.
Aw come on... How can we take your opinions seriously if you are not open to changing them?
I mean, your opinions are seriously biased toward preconceived notions which you do not want to change even when presented the chance to challenge them by a reality check and perhaps then either (a) reinforce your notions or (b) change them.
You are too dogmatic.
The '12 Si may not have the 8100RPM redline, but it has one hell of a torque curve and hauls ass. You could have had a fun time.
The funny thing is that we also had an '11 CRV EX-L AWD so I drove that around quite a bit.
You could have had a V8 K24Z7 -in a light weight car!

If the '12 Si is THAT bad of a car, why even drive it at all? Considering the entertainment features of smart phones and television in the waiting room, one hour isn't that long to wait at the dealership.

Yes Tony, I "drove" it. This one came back after 1800 miles because the owner's wife hated the car for some reason. If you need a creative way to light $3500 on fire, there you go.
My reality is just fine, thanks.
Kev, I am not sitting in a dealer service room any longer than I have to. Since the debacle that was my 2009 Accord, this place gives me the option to take a car every time I come in for service.

I got a kid in college (private college.. thank you NOT UC) and another one starting this fall.
3500 bucks. Heck, that's a drop in the bucket for our cash flow.
What happened to your 09 Accord? I don't recall.

Did they say what was the reason?
I'm guessing that it's because it's not automatic, LOL
