If you're looking for an unmolested Prelude SH with virtually no miles this is the car you've been waiting for. As you can see in the links below Honda had this car on display at a Honda Tech school so I was able to purchase it with only 5,000 miles and have driven it sparingly since then. You simply won't find another Prelude SH with such low mileage & such great shape.

See pics here:

VIN# is JHMBB6155WC012098, see all the information I have on the car here:

1) Honda Tech School info (the car was a Honda Tech school car that's why the mileage is so low):

FAQ:

1. Why are you selling?

I'm buying new Scion FR-S or Subaru BRZ.

2. Is there anything wrong with the car?

No there are no weird noises, check engine lights etc. Just to be clear on this I'm an individual, not a dealer therefore there is no warranty. As for the body and interior condition, the car isn't perfect but it's pretty damn close.

3. Is the car silver or sky blue?

Honda used Nordic Mist Metallic for the 1997-1998 Prelude and switched to Crystal Blue Metallic for 1999-2000. Nordic Mist Metallic is silver with a bluish hue especially with blue showing up more when dark while Crystal Blue Metallic is little more like sky blue.

cy.vtec@gmail.com or 574-993-7707 Please note vehicle is being advertised on this website and other venues.

Car is South Bend, IN about 2 hours east of Chicago.

Interesting. There will be two of us. Have you driven either one yet?

You are going to enjoy it, no doubt. This car will put a smile on your face guaranteed.

I was able to take a BRZ premium home overnight last week, and now it has me on the fence about the FR-S for the following reasons:

1. BRZ seats are better
2. Accent lighting and HIDS
3. Better stereo with touch screen
4. only $1100 more (dealer knocked $700 off)

The problem came in when my hybrid trade appraisal came in at $11k. That would be me about $4k upside down on this wonderful car, and that basically cost me the deal.

I am still waiting on my FR-S order which has no time frame now since the dealer boned my first order, but I am now working to simply move my hybrid and I will pick up beater car to drive while I locate my car or continue to wait. I will be happy with either iteration of the car, but I do feel that the BRZ advantages are pretty compelling.

If you dont mind me asking, what car did you get an $11k appraisal for?

As for BRZ vs FR-S, for $1100 you can swap the radio for a nice Nav Unit, just make sure you understand how it will affect steering wheel controls and it increases the chances for rattles. I LOVE my steering wheel controls for phone/radio/ipod/etc, and no aftermarket harness works 100% with all of these functions so I decided not to get a aftermarket unit.

That's weird, I'll try to fix, in meantime please use the links off the Ebay ad as I just tested them all. Thanks for letting me know. Cy

2009 Civic Hybrid - 50,200 miles was the appraisal.

The BRZ and FR-S do not have any steering wheel controls at all, save the small cruise stalk.

Car is sold . . . if you drive a Prelude SH and have wondered about how it would compare to a BRZ. Here's what I found out.

Pro's of the BRZ: All the great steering response, transitional handling and predictability of the Prelude SH but turned up a 2 notches.

Downsides: Rides more harshly then the Prelude SH, snow acceleration and overall snow handling not as good. Kind of obvious given fwd vs rwd dynamics. I miss the sunroof.

Maybe when I build that 9 car garage I'll get another Prelude.

************************************************
Honda,

4144 BRZ's & 11,417 FR-S's sold in calendar year 2012. There is a market for a $25K S2000/Prelude SH/Integra Type R car.

What would Soichiro do?

What about the power/smoothness of the BRZ engine?

There's something wrong...it looks all stock. I thought every Prelude in the world had been riced.
