If you look at those videos or images of crashed HSV-010, you'll see they are not based on production cars. [Look closely at those suspensions.]

Super GT is subdivided in to two classes GT500 for purpose built composite monocoque chassis cars with a 3.4 litre V8 engine developing around 500hp. [...] As the cars have no parts in common with their road car counterparts you will find many bespoke components. The engines in the Honda and the Lexus are based on the blocks used in Formula Nippon but Nissan’s GT-R uses a production based block.
It looks like many other in GT300 are also RR race cars.
GT300 Toyota Corolla Axio
Like the IS350 the floor has been replaced as has the back of the car where a bespoke V6 engine is mounted.

Since Prious GT was brought up, though it pains me to do this but ...
That's it. That's all I could find.

Well the CR-Z's first race and it has been run and won - but not by the CR-Z :)
It managed to finish 16th out of 23 runners, albeit 3 laps down. The good news it finished up with the second fastest race lap, so it is not all doom and gloom! Obviously having some teething troubles to sort out.

First qualifying they were in 7th and then in the top 10 qualifying shootout it ended up in 10th. Wasn't able to see the race though, was on another of the ESPNSports channels and not the one I have.
The HSVs didn't look so hot in qualifying either, not sure how the race panned out for them either.

16th out of 23? 16th out of 23?
Holy crap on a cracker.
Wait.... it was running in 2nd in its calss when it pitted on the lap 44th. They had troubles with tires and restarting the engine. They came back in the race at 17th but they finished it on 16th.

If I had to put money on it, I'd venture to guess we're not going to see that much anticipated phantom "Si" version of the CRZ we were supposed to get..at least in the USDM that is. Wasn't it supposed to be out by now?!
Either way, I wouldnt consider another Honda IMA product without a significant design improvement. Particularly a higher performance version that would be (in theory) drawing more power from the hybrid system and battery, which is a huge weak link. Not to mention Honda's inconsistent coverage/acknowledgment of IMA problems. No thanks. I suggest anyone considering an IMA-equipped Honda vehicle read up on the IMA problems plaguing the Civic Hybrid, particularly the 2006-2009 models.
