The base Odyssey is a horrible thing - nobody buys it in my experience - just there to get people through the doors. Horrible mainly due to the lack of a console between the front seat - just with cup holders on the floor and the crummy lcd display. The console from the EX will fit and secure properly - but its over $1000 in parts to make it!! Lack of bluetooth (when all Accords have it) is kinda bad too. the EX for cash is only $2000 more and includes so much stuff - power doors, back up camera, I-MId bluetooth, eighth seat, centre console, tri zone climate, heated seats, Cd ripping, usb, steering wheel stereo controls, alloy wheels...

The console doesn't cost $1000 to build. They're on eBay for $145. Guys on Ody forums buy them all the time. Below is an example

Since you got so much time on your hands.
Where is the Mighty OTR?
J35 DOHC iVTEC good for 380bhp at 7500 rpm
AT6SS
SH-AWD
Six caliper Brembos up front, four caliper out back.
245x50/19 tires all around.
NAVI
ELS
Four high power driving fancy kind lights up front.
Six Recaro seats, middle row rotates outward.
Water, Oil, AT, battery -you name it- coolers
A cooler for the coolers too... backups don't hurt so long as they are light and made of some fancy sounding alloy.
High speed power side doors (means they move fast!!) that can be opened when moving under 5mph.
CHP detector.
Four mufflers.
Eight exhaust tips.
"I eat Hyundais" stickers.
I think a vehicle like that would rule the school parking lot. With such a set up you could slow down, open the side doors and the kids would jump out of the car without you having to actually stop, wait for the damn doors to open and the kids to get their stuff together.
