Accord Prelude.

yay or nay?


Honda uses "Accord" name for their Accord Crosstour CUV.
How about they do the same for 2 door Accord by bringing back Prelude name and call it Accord Prelude?

Nay. Prelude has a definite sport focus that the Accord Coupe lacks.

I would love to see a new Prelude built on the Accord Coupe chassis, but only if it were significantly downsized from the current monster's dimensions.

I think the Prelude should come back and compete against the BR-Z/FR-S crowd...save that name for some decidedly sporty and enthusiastic, not for a car as large as the Accord coupe is.

Though I'm not sure if it should be FWD like the original Prelude
But at the same time, I'm having a hard time imagining Honda doing a small RWD coupe to compete with the BR-Z/FR-S.

You realize it looks almost the same as the current model. Not sure why they are even covering it up...

I hope Honda/Acura really will bring out a brand new sports coupe but not seeing anything in the pipeline other than the ILX coupe which probably will be another civic coupe.
