The side profile clearly has influence from the current gen BMW 5 series (F10). From the shape of the door handle, the placement of the door handles and the crease, to the hofmeister kink & the opening lines of the rear door. It looks even more 'BMW-like' than the 8th gen.

As has been the case for, oh, 20 years? See Willie Sutton.

BMW and Honda designs have had similarities for years as even my former 91 Civic Ex sedan had similar design elements as the BMW E30 3 Series sedan. In this case the Accord may have been better executed vs the new F10 5 Series as the fee details I can make out are pleasing to the eye.

Funny how many give BMW credit for the "Bangle Butt" but Honda did first in the 5G Accord.

The up sweep of the front/side turn signal elements remind me of the Kia Optima...
As others have said, the proportions look good. I hope the detailing looks just as good when the covers come off...

These latest pics depict a much more conservative appearing car than those seen previously. (Compare http://vtec.net/news/news-item?news_item_id=1069914.) IMHO, the more conservative styling will be a hit with Honda traditionalists and the subject of much criticism by those who were expecting something more, perhaps more along the lines of Neal's artwork. However, I'm betting Ford's 2013 Fusion will be the runaway best seller, perhaps topping even Toyota's Camry.
