You seem overly optimistic about the wheel gap and size of the rubber.

I respect your work, but it's still not accurate.

The bottom chine on the nose is up-turned more, and the front bumper does not seem to accommodate that large light/intake found on the coupe concept. The bumper seems straighter horizontally and uninterrupted at the sides and wraps around into the front fender more. The lights also seem to be more level (less forward droop) and in-line with the overriding horizontal lines of the test vehicle.

In general the nose on the test vehicle does not droop as much and is more level. This also carries over to the C-pillar area and trunk, which to me looks higher than what you have set. Plus the biggest difference IMO is that the C-pillar on the test vehicle is longer and flows more smoothly into the rear decklid, which BTW has a much higher spoiler ridge than shown.

I don't know why, but no one has said anything about the huge bump on the front of the hood. It resembles an air scoop. Does anyone know what this is????

Again, you do professional work.

Thanks. I am not striving for accuracy but to bridge the gap between my own concept and Honda's. Which as we know aren't always the same thing...

Gotcha.

But, do you have any idea what that raised area is on the front of the hood?

I love the 1st gen TSX wheels on your concept. Those are one of my favorite Honda wheel designs. I can only hope the next Accord sports these.

It could also be the wind being caught under the loose camo.

Agreed. So clean and simple yet sporty at the same time.

I actually wouldn't be upset if Honda decided to reuse them, but maybe as an 18".

It's an air intake scoop for the twin turbos! LOL

I wish...

Neal, we will know soon enough if all your tweaking has pushed you closer to the real car or not. In any case, I like what you've ended up with. Sharper edged but still classy in a desing that should age very well. Can't imagine how many hours you've put into this and other works you've shown here, but you obviously have a love and talent for it.

^It may be as late as the end of July or early August before an image or two gets "preloaded" for future media use.

^Well, if one squints hard enough at my render that the detailing falls away, the overall silhouette is competent enough to be a success.

That said, I believe the deciding factor will be overall stance achieved by the wheel size, offset and gap. Every Honda seems very dependent on these key qualities!

This is my only hope for staying with Honda...

heres hoping for a quiet luxurious ride with 300hp lsd and 6mt and loaded with tech out the wah-zooo!

And a slender, athletic look like the Honda's of yesterday projected...exactly like neals concept.

jdawg has a point concerning the c-pillar thickness and elongation. It does appear to be bigger than the outgoing model and Neal's concept. I was hoping more for Neal's design's taut and tight rear but it seems pretty clear Miss Accord is gonna have one big booty.

I'm sure after Neal's next rendition Honda will kindly ask him to not give away the secret design :)

On the note of wheel size and gap, it might be a good idea to pick up a new but dated 18-19in Acura or HFP wheel set since they are going for really low these days, assuming the bolt pattern and measurements stay the same/similar. I'm always on the look out for a brand new set of 04-08 TL a-spec wheels and the more recent RDX wheels have been looking pretty nice too. Honda has some great time-less wheel designs that will look right on any Honda.
