I think it's fine to look at as a retouch. But since it's not at all the route they'd go for a "blank slate" coupe I don't see the point.
It would be like me rendering a 3-door Fit...

yep. coulda had some fun with it, like the legend versus legend coupe.

not feeling the hofmeister dink either, needs to be cleaned up.

If Acura does a coupe it is going to have to be a lot more different then just a TL minus 2 doors and some very minor styling cues being different. Your version is just too plain and more like a 2 door TL then something sleek and a good looking 2 door like a G37 coupe, A5, or 3 series coupe. Your photoshop does look clean and well integrated but something like that will suffer from it being too similar to the sedan and buyers would see no real reason to get the coupe. The CL was too conservative and its sales quickly tapered off and it was killed. In order to be successful at marketing a coupe it has to be really good looking and have its own styling and look or else buyers will just go for the sedan.

The Hof kink was rounded off to match the more rounded shape of the doors. I didn't really spend too much time on this, just a few hours to give the feeling of a TL coupe.

I agree it would take more than this, the whole shape of the car would need to be more compact and sportier. The real selling point would have to be in performance though, because anyone looking at the coupe obviously wants the sportier alternative to the sedan.
