Analysis
The H&R Sports are included for comparison purposes. Looking at the spring rates, both these springs try to offer a respectable ride while improving handling. The Hot Honda springs have more coils that are closely spaced than the the H&R's. This suggests a more progressive nature for the Hot Honda Springs. Even though the HH Springs are rated to give at most a 2.5" drop, they are at the same height as the H&R. With more than 12" from the center of the wheel to the edge of the fender, it provides enough clearance for all but the biggest speed bumps. However, at this height your mud flaps will scrape over speed bumps and other sharp inclines/declines.

Wire diameter of the Hot Honda spring is also larger than the H&R springs. Notice that the Hot Honda front spring is shorter than the H&R, but the ride height is actually higher than the H&R. This does suggest that the Hot Honda spring has a higher average rate than the H&R. This is one reason why the car understeers a little bit more than with the H&R's. Both sets still offer a fairly neutral handling characteristic to the car.

Measured ride height was taken immediately after the installation of the springs. Over time, the spring is expected to settle and so will result in a slightly lower height.

Rear Hot Honda (blue) spring is longer than the H&R. Also notice the tighter coil spacing near the top.

Front Hot Honda (blue) spring is shorter than the H&R. Also notice the tighter coil spacing near the top.
